MUA eyeshadow palette + whipped velvet review

A few weeks ago I purchased a new make up palette and a lipgloss from MUA (makeup academy professional). And today I’m reviewing it!

I love the colors of these eyeshadows. They are all shimmery, and there is no matte one, what I actually kind of expect of a eyeshadow palette. Even without some matte colors, you can create a nice make up look. That makes it a bit better.

These are the swatches of the upper row of shadows. I’m not really impressed about the pigmentation. As you can see, the lightest colors you can barely see, and the darker colors aren’t even that good also. I put a few layers on each color so you could see them better.

The colors of the row below are a lot more pigmented. And the colors are very buildable!

Another thing that had drawn to my attention was the smell. I really smelt like really cheap make up that you would buy when you were a small girl at a toy store…not really nice.

The texture didn’t feel good on my lips, and it wore off really quickly. The swatch on my hand is much better than on my lips. I don’t have a picture of me wearing te lipgloss, but it was really streaky. Not so cute 😦

Overall, I do like the eyeshadow palette, I could work with that, but the lipgloss just wasn’t made for me I guess. These were the first product I bought from MUA, and I’m really excited to try out other products from their collection.
